Christmas: For Making Biz Connections
Posted on | December 22, 2009 | 3 Comments
Ho Ho Ho,
it’s Christmas time.
May your days be merry and bright,
and may all your business connections be tight.
Christmas is really the most democratic of holidays because everyone is welcome and encouraged to celebrate its real purpose.
That’s why I invite you to forget about the religious connotations the coming days have by leaving that stuff for church or whatever. Rather, enjoy these holidays because, no matter who you are, this time is not just for Christians or all about the birth of Christ.
No, what Christmas really is, I suggest, is a reaffirming connection opportunity-time.
It is the one time in the whole year when we can and should acknowledge and thank others while strengthening both our personal and business ties with those who help make our day-to-day lives better.
These are all those people in our work place, in our customer base, and at our home base who represent the important and basic relationships alike that we depend on. Often, such people range from the influential to the mundane, but no matter, they all are important in the greater scheme of things.
This is why I encourage you to take a moment to connect with them, express your personal appreciation for what they do and have done, and end off by wishing them all the best for the Holidays and the coming New Year. It really is in your best interests.
In this same vein, I offer the following:

Thanks Niall for your comments and compliment. I hope the message of how ‘communicating gratitude and community builds stronger relationships’ will be even more loudly heard for your feedback. May 2010 be good to you and yours.
